ANP calls on people to help Swat affectees

KARACHI: President of Awami National Party (ANP) in Sindh, Shahid Syed, has appealed to all communities to help the displaced persons of Swat that are arriving in the province. Speaking to a delegation of tribal elders at Mardan House here, Shahi Syed said that the nation could defeat not only militants but also miscreants also with show of unity.He said that there was a need to resolve the current challenges with complete understanding, adding that a little carelessness could lead the country to a grave calamity. ANP leader further said that people of the Karachi could realize the pain of the displaced persons as they had already faced such situation in the past too.
